The History of Fortuin Funeral Home

Fortuin Funeral Services was established in 2001 by Mr Johannes Fortuin in a Small office previously known as the Stepping Stones Shopping Centre in Bethelsdorp, Port Elizabeth. However, due to the bad reputation that other funeral services had at the time and people in the neighbourhood had
little to no trust in policies offered by those in
their areas, Mr.Fortuin had a hard time
getting people to join his funeral
policy scheme.

Mr.Fortuin had one goal and that was for people to see the long term value he offered and that Fortuin Funeral Services were just not another fly-by-night funeral Service.

They later moved offices to Lawrence Erasmus Dr,
Bloemendal, Port Elizabeth where they are currently
situated and changed their name to
“Fortuin Funeral Home”. The goal was for people in the area to feel as though they were all part of one family and consider Fortuin Funeral Home as An Extended Member of their family
